Get More from a Photo Scanner with Feeder

July 24, 2010 – 12:45 am

You may be wondering what a photo scanner with feeder is, and what it can do to help you save time in printing those photos. A photo scanner has a lot of features that you can take advantage without having to spend so much. It typically does the job that printers do; however, you will be surprised that it can do more.

People who just love to print multiple copies of their photos will surely find this useful. It allows you to print and of course, scan photos and transform them into digital prints. You can position your photos on its flat surface then start printing. Since it is a scanner, you can also place documents on the surface and feed into the printer without further support.

One great thing about these types of scanner is that it allows you to do up to a hundred feeds automatically. If you think about it, this will save you time since you can upload as many photos as you want with ease.

Quite a few new models now have a slot for memory card where a typical SD card will surely fit, as well as, a USB port. This will allow easy access to your photos and the ability to print them quickly. Popular brand names consist of HP, Kodak, Epson, Fujitsu, Canon, and Pandigital.

If you have perhaps hundreds of old photos that you like to have printed out then this is definitely the right equipment for you. The newest models even include features that allow you the option to mend washout, faded, and damaged photos without difficulty. Just familiarize yourself with the machine’s LCD display menu and your pictures will be as good as new.

You can print out as many copies of these old photos as you want without spending a lot of money compared to having them printed from a digital photo shop. There will be no room to worry about losing these pictures since you can have tons of copies. So start searching for the photo scanner with feeder that will fulfill your every printing need.

Finally There Is An Affordable Touchscreen Laptop

July 22, 2010 – 11:31 pm

Touchscreen technology on laptop computers is fairly new.  New technology usually comes with a pretty hefty price tag attached.  Finally there is an affordable touchscreen laptop on the market.  The laptop that I’m referring to is the Acer Aspire 5738PG.  This little touch screen laptop can be yours for only $799.  That makes this unit among the most inexpensive touch screen notebook computers on the market.  At this price, even struggling college students can afford to own a touchscreen laptop.

This model comes bundled with Windows 7 which is the first operating system ever made to fully support multi touch technology.  Acer’s timing was perfect because they introduced this computer at the same time that Microsoft launched Windows 7.

This touchscreen laptop comes with what is called a passive digitizer touchscreen.  This means that you don’t have to use an electronic stylus to make the touchscreen work.  Consumers have really started to like being able to just touch their computer screens to interact with their computer.

This unit supports what is called multi touch.  This basically means that the user can touch the computer screen in more than one location at a time and the computer will recognize both points of input.  Multi touch technology makes things like photo manipulation very easy.  For example while looking at photos on a touchscreen laptop with multi touch technology, the user can touch the screen with two fingers slide the fingers apart quickly then the image will enlarge.  Do the opposite in the image will shrink.  Touch this image with two fingers and rotate them to the left and the image rotates to the left.  Touch the image with two fingers and rotate them to the right and the image rotates to the right. On the Acer touchscreen laptop, the user can touch the screen and make the swirl and the Acer navigation screen pops up.

The simple fact that Acer has entered into the world of touchscreen laptops and has such an inexpensive model on the market will likely drive prices down for competing brands down which is good for all computer shoppers.

CECT Phones: TV with a Mobile Phone

July 22, 2010 – 9:10 pm

It was CECT who popularized CECT phones as a combination of TV and a mobile phone, providing its user to see through his mobile phone more than what it is: a TV phone.  This is indeed a breakthrough innovation in mobile technology.  While TV streaming is possible in other phone models, they are channeled via Internet access that may cost quite a bit per hour. With a TV phone developed by CECT, TV viewing time is entirely free as the access is via wireless antenna embedded in a phone.  It works like an FM radio, only with video.

A lot of sites in the internet provide the mobile phone users to watch their favorite TV shows online.  But with TV phones, you no longer have to access your internet – you only have to turn on the analog TV functionality of the phone as if you are turning on an actual TV.  The mobile phone would in turn catch wireless signal for your own streaming.  This is revolutionary innovation in the sense that CECT phones that are TV enabled are free.  This is the main reason why there are lots of people who are at awe at such design, and in turn, ended up purchasing a TV phone on their own.

Some designs of CECT phones allows you to flip and turn the LCD screen sideways (like it is some sort of a camera) if you want to watch a TV show.  Although most of the cect mobile phones are made to resemble the infamous Apple iPhone, it is important to note that the Apple iPhone doesn’t have an analog TV functionality (at least, a free TV streaming like cect’s) or a FM radio capability.  While it is true that CECT mobile phones are 90% clone copies of iPhone, they are not considered to be poor copies.  They are only made of cheaper materials (the LCD screen of a cect mobile phone is plastic, while Apple’s iPhone is made of a glossy glass), but other than that, cect products can be functional as a mobile phone in the least.

The later and the newest cect mobile phones supports free streaming, like the cect ka08 tv phone model.  It has a 2.4 inch LCD touch screen in 260k colors.  It is also referred to as the JP KA08 TV phone because it is an upgraded version of the cect KA08 mini phone.  Like any other touch screen phone, it responds to every touch through finger or stylus.  It has accelerometer that automatically detects motion – thus, it allows autorotation of the display.  With the signature dual sim slot (a feature that is unique to China phones) you don’t have to turn off your phones to change sim cards.  This is an outstanding buy; the idea of a tv phone alone is enough to mesmerize you.
